Day 18 - Quilali

Emilio, Cristofer, Fatima, Israel and I made the trip to Quilali, the town where Larry met Lilliam (my parents). To get there, it´s a five hour drive by bus, with the last hour and a half on a dirt road path.

The buses are mostly old school buses with brightly colored curtains and religious designs. Also, again it´s true, if the buses are full, people ride on top of the bus.

Quilali is up in mountain country. This picture doesn't do the view justice, it´s really gorgeous up there.

We stayed at Fatima and Israel´s house, and their mom, Elsa, had delicious soup waiting for us when we arrived. Then we went out to Tio Gene´s. After that, Fatima invited me to a party. One of her friends, Roberto, is a teacher at a school and his class was having a party for the end of the year (14-15 year olds). So we crashed it. I had yet another dinner and met more of her friends. Also, 14 year old girls can dance way better than me.
