Cheese Days!

One of the things I missed most in Ireland was Wisconsin's fine selection of cheeses. Many made fun of me, but this weekend is what it's all about:) Cheese Days in Monroe is a celebration of all things cheese (and beer).

The cheese tent is where we sampled dozens of different cheesemakers' cheese: you know, cheddar, pepper jack, munster, farmer, aged swiss (my personal favorite). They put tiny cubes of cheese out on the table, and then we stab the cheese with toothpicks to pick them up.

Mmmmmm. Delicious deep fried cheese curds...

The other big part of cheese days is the Berghoff Beer tent. And of course, after a long, sunny afternoon of cheese/beer, we went on some of the carnival rides!

Soozy made Alan and I sneak our way into a free second ride on the Tilt-a-Whirl:) Full set of photos are available on Flickr.

One more, I could help putting this one of Sooz up:)
