In case you're wondering, Finland won with their death metal bank singing Hard Rock Halleluja. What a mix!
Apparently, Ireland won it like three times in a row in the 90s. Which became a huge pain, because you have to host the contest the next year - which is a fortune to put on. If you've seen Father Ted (the TV show), it references this in one of the shows.
