Right now, it's Monday, the first day of class -- but lucky me, I don't have class on Mondays. So I'm watching Law & Order. For some reason they changed the Law & Order theme and introduction. No more "boom, boom." It feels like something is missing.
I'm also wondering if the TV License man is going to come today. Every household in Ireland needs to pay a 150 Euro license fee to have a television. The fees then go RTE, the state-funded television network. That's why they don't have that many commericials, they pay annually for the right to watch tv. Even campus apartments need to have the license, and today they're checking - 600 Euro fine if we're found without one...
