Sacramento is nicknamed the "City of Trees"and nowhere is more apparent that this than the park surrounding the capitol building. There are over 100 types of trees from around the world - my favorite are the magnolias. (I just made up that number, I'm not sure.)
Also present between the trees are little themed gardens, like the cactus garden.
The Rose Garden
Walking around downtown Sacramento, looking for the prefect place to celebrate my last reimbursed dinner. I know we walked around after many of the places were closed, but about half of the shops were salt water taffy based.
I wish there had been horsedrawn carriages, or at least horseless carriages outside these buildings.
