Just across the square from the hotel is Lancaster's Central Market, the oldest continuously running farmer's market in the U.S. (since about 1730). It's open every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday morning. Even through it's filled with Amish wares, it's not as good as the Madison Farmer's Market. Although, I'll reserve complete judgment until harvest season.
Making fresh horseradish.
We stopped by Hershey on the way back to the airport. As we took photos, a man yelled from his van, "Welcome to Hershey!" They're so friendly here!
We'll have to plan a team outing to Chocolate World... factory tour/amusement park.*Side Note: Hershey is the name of the chocolate maker *and* the town. So, if you're only familiar with the chocolate, it seems like everything is sponsored by chocolate... Hershey laundry, Hershey Medical Center, Hersey Fire department etc, like the town is home to cookie-making elves...
